PHARMA
HOLDINGS BUSINESS SUMMARY
Overview
In
January 2004 the founders
of Millennium Partners Incorporated
(MPI) launched an international
drug prescription service
from Canada called Canadian
Drug Outlet Store (CDOS) offering
prescription medications to
US citizens at Canadian prices.
Since many of Canadian prescription
drugs are up to 70% less than
the US prices for the same
drugs, dosages and quantities,
there is a significant opportunity
to market these savings directly
to consumers in a broad-based
but targeted marketing program.
Since
the opening of the pilot store,
CDOS has experienced a steady
growth rate in the number
of orders and sales volume
and is on target to meet its
sales projections for the
year. We are currently seeking
outside funding to expand
the business into new territories
and to offer new products
to our customers. One such
product is the development
of a discount prescription
drug card allowing our customers
to be able to purchase drugs
from US pharmacies at steeply
discounted prices.
As
a rule, CDOS does not fulfill
orders for any drugs that
are considered a controlled
substance here in the US.
Additionally, due to the nature
of our business, we cannot
fill prescriptions for drugs
that require immediate dispensing.
For example, if you needed
an antibiotic for an ailment,
we could not get the drug
shipped to you overnight.
For this reason, we lose the
ability to provide service
for 60% of the prescription
drug population.
In
cooperation with the largest
drug distributor in the US,
CDOS plans to offer the MED-RX
prescription drug card. MED-RX
is not a pharmacy, and will
not have a clinical staff.
All services that we will
supply will be through our
contractual relationship with
a licensed pharmacy network
provider. This plan will save
our customers up to 90% on
drugs from Canada and up to
50% on prescriptions purchased
in the US using our discount
drug card at more than 38,000
pharmacies. Our card will
be the BEST in the industry,
bar none. The cost for the
card will be $39.95 for individuals
and $49.95 for families on
an annual basis.
Founded
in 1996, Millennium Partners
Incorporated (MPI) is a multi-faceted
marketing and sales promotion
agency with a successful track-record
in media buying for print,
television, direct mail outdoor
and radio. As a media agency,
MPI is better known as “the
source for discount media”
with clients reading like
the “Who’s Who”
of national advertisers. The
privately-held company is
family-owned by three equal
partners and operates primarily
in the field of direct response
marketing. The CEO of the
company has more than 20 years
experience in the advertising
industry and has identified
a business investment that
represents a tremendous opportunity
for rapid share of market
growth, sustainable profit
and shareholder value and
creation.
MPI
intends to use its superior
knowledge of direct response
marketing to promote the Med-RX
drug savings plan to prospects
all over the United States.
Through the use of direct
response infomercials and
commercials, Med-RX will saturate
the media waves and promote
the benefits, advantages and
convenience of our prescription
drug savings plan. Consumers
will respond directly by calling
a toll-free 800 number to
request an application/information
package by mail. Responders
will also be able to purchase
this plan via our website,
fax or by visiting one of
our retail locations. MPI
will use local cable television,
direct mail, print and billboards
to build a brand name for
the Med-RX plan. The media
blitz will be ongoing and
will progressively build as
we roll-out into new markets.
The key to the success of
this business is promotion….promotion
and more promotion.
In other news, Med-Rx Supply
applied for a license to distribute
pharmaceuticals in Canada,
and expects to have a warehouse
in operation by September
15th. Med-Rx retained the
services of Mr. Randy Seminchew
as a consultant to set-up
and operate the Canadian wholesale
operation. Mr. Seminchew was
formerly employed by Health
Canada (Canadian equivalent
of FDA) as a licensing officer
and will assist Med-Rx in
obtaining our Canadian wholesale
license. Mr. Seminchew will
further assist in developing
our warehouse operations,
inventory control and sales
in Canada.
This would allow Med-Rx to
become a primary supplier
to more than 1,000 Canadian
pharmacies currently doing
business in Canada and the
United States. This business
is estimated at more than
$800 million dollars per year
and Med-Rx Supply expects
to become a primary source
on that marketplace.
